In Memory of Michael Jackson 1958 - 2009

~A STARDUST TRAIL TO HEAVEN~

Cruising down life’s highway
Signs pop into view
A stick shift jammed too high
Radio blasting what’s new

The feel of the road
The tires hugging each turn
Gazing out the window
The rubber starts to burn

The rush of the neon
The thrill of the run
Looking for adventure
A path that leads to fun

I hit the dashboard
I pull up some beat
I look in the rear view mirror
Michael Jackson’s in the back seat

He moves like lightening
Through a passing storm
The shine off his white socks
A star has been born

Into the night
He sings with his soul
His music lives and breathes
As his spirit rolls

Rocking and rolling
The night away
A super star concert
The puppy love of my day

A thriller and a chiller
This life with childlike dreams
Michael your star shines so bright
Your gift to our world gleams

Into the night
I follow this dancing light
A stardust trail to heaven
A white gloved comet in flight

~EVER, FOREVERLAND~

The child in me is filled to the brim
With outstretched hands it all begins

To seek the adventure of a new day
To know love is what comes my way

A ladybug dotting across the walk
The smell of grandma’s pretty frock

To squeeze the mud in my clean fist
To know the swing can also twist

To touch the sky with a golden arrow
To find calm in the nesting sparrow

I wander off; life is a fun filled dare
To tempt fate, to chance being there

Be present to each coming smile
We were born to play

Together for awhile

~THIS IS IT~

Constellations of thoughts shining
One thought falling, drifting down
Crossing in darkness to dawn light
Flight of infinity kissing humanity
An aura of life whispering a truth
Passing the shadow of the moons
Warming spirits in heaven’s grace
A glittering breath of God’s seeds
Broadcasted to ignite peace in all
Death does not slumber in earth
It is magnified in constellations
In falling stars that live to deliver
All of us to the humility of loving

(I went to see the Michael Jackson movie tribute, “This is It”. On my return home, I took a dark road by mistake. I was in awe of what I experienced in the theatre for almost two hours. I was mourning Michael’s passing, when from the heavens, a beautiful falling star fell. I wept and wept. The heavens spoke to me, and reminded me of the responsibility we each have to love, just love. When we love each other, the earth takes care of our bounty.)

~FEED THE WORLD FOR CHRISTMAS~

Doves of Bethlehem flying high
Like white ribbons on a blue sky
Tying up Christmas and despair
Holy messengers in earth’s hair

God’s skywriters of sweet grace
Making our home a happy place
Carrying branches from the land
To help the children understand

Carry nature to build a fine nest
God created life to provide rest
As you live, followers will seek
The earth inherited by the meek

Soft as hay on the manger floor
Children find comfort and adore
Luxury suited for a blessed king
United in vision the world sings

Animals graze where God rests
Divine travelers, your holy guests
Providing care to a world’s child
So tender, so caring, and so mild

Compassionate victory in hands
Gifts of milk and eggs for lands
Gifts for the splendor of kings
Oh, the joy God’s animals bring

A world, one vision, seeking to find
Doors to open for God’s mankind
It is in loving where hope is found
The breath of heaven, one sound

Peace on Earth

Dedicated to the memory of Michael Jackson
His compassionate gifts forever changed our world

Give to World Vision this Christmas
