Creative spigots are in the dashboards of our minds. They give us the creative license to select hot, cold, or lukewarm thoughts to ponder. On occasion the spigots are thrown wide open and drown out all of our feelings. A person that is drowning in their own thoughts is like a dam that is being sealed with a piece of bubble gum. The mind will explode when the dam cannot contain the pressure of too many unresolved life experiences.
When a mind cannot freely express itself, it can be trapped by the dangerous company of alcohol, drugs, sex, violence, and suicide. A culture that is keeping company with these mind poisons is not operating like a democracy. There are no freedoms in these mind traps. We cannot maintain liberty and justice for all, in a nation full of storming minds.
Although freedom of speech is a product of our American heritage, I contend that our freedoms are being framed by those that govern us. We are being governed in every facet of our existence. Government is like a marriage, if it is a good marriage, all is well, but if it is a bad marriage, we will be under the thumb of who has the most power.
Our livelihoods are what sustain us. What would you do to maintain a living for your family? With people being edged out of their livelihoods, there is a climate of immorality brewing. It is no longer a quest for a living; it is a quest to return to an America that stands up for the freedoms and rights of each member. What would you do or say to maintain your freedoms? What would you do to maintain your children’s freedoms?
War is more than young people killing our enemies. War is a time when people examine their thoughts. War is having the courage to fight for what is right. If you remain ambivalent to the rights of others, you will be next. The firing line is hell, and there is always a next candidate. No one is exempt from the terrors of tyranny.
Tyranny wears patriotic colors, reports news, writes in the paper, preaches from the pulpit, and educates young minds. Tyranny is deceitful, but not hard to find. You know what it is, but how often have you kept that spigot off? If you do not turn on the hot spigot, and deal with tyranny, you are robbing the nation’s children of the opportunity to learn by your example.
Our children are hooded, wearing black, plugged in, and many are already at the door of mind traps. Do not pretend that you can have a great nation if you do not invest in what is right. Go to the dashboard in your mind and open up the spigots. Let the thoughts run until you have found answers to your greatest fears. Is it possible that your fears are my fears, and we can start today to do something about them?
Do not be numbed by fear. There are creative spigots in the dashboard of your mind. Do not remain lukewarm in a crisis. Open up the hot spigot, express what is right in the sight of the God that blessed this nation. If you value your freedom of expression, you better start using it. What you don’t use, you will lose!
~RIVERS OF FREEDOM~
Rivers of freedom flow
From minds that cannot rest
Until the voice of tyranny
Falls dormant in earth’s nest
Revive the waters of birth
In acts of loving measures
It is not what you have
It is what you treasure
Treasure what is right
Fight for what is true
Live for your tomorrow
Keep faith inside of you
Nothing can break love
It is the chain that binds
Seek justice in each day
Keep hatred far behind
The moments of your life
Can never be relived
Take heart in God’s word
Live, love, and forgive
What you think matters
What you say can save
You are God’s child
Not the world’s slave
