Proverbs 15:5-6
he who receives correction is prudent.
6 In the house of the righteous there is much treasure
In dealing with spirituality, it is important and expedient, it is imperative that there be no presumption. Therefore, when we are preparing our way, and praying, and are in the Spirit (which is a meditation, as John was in the Spirit in Revelation), we have to rightly divide the word of truth. Therefore we have to meditate, and have discernment. Very much so, many people who have sin, know they have it. And so any kind of judgment or condemnation could destroy. And then, if someone is working through sin, our own judgment must be in the oneness of God. Also then, we could be totally off, regarding what we think, hear, see, believe, or feel. Beyond this, we could have knowledge that is right, but judge with it, in the wrong context. And then, if a person has repented even, if we don't forgive, but condemn, we could be destructive. And going on from this, our own weakness' could lead us away from God, if we don't continue in Him, and His love and Promises.
Here is how to meditate:
Proverbs 15:26
26 The thoughts of the wicked are an abomination to the LORD,
But the words of the pure are pleasant.
Why doesn't it compare the thoughts of the wicked to the thoughts of the pure? It goes into talking about the words of the pure.
Proverbs 15:28
The heart of the righteous studies how to answer
verse 30:
The light of the eyes rejoices the heart,
And a good report makes the bones healthy
The word healthy here literally means fat. Fat is not always bad. David said that he would be satisfied with fatness. The good report doesn't have to be us receiving news of something. It can be us having a right spirit towards God, by believing in His Promises. The only way to have that right spirit is to be born again in Him.
verse 29:
He hears the prayer of the righteous
The only way to have our prayers be heard by Him, and have our requests come FROM Him is to be born again.
Proverbs 16:3
3 Commit your works to the LORD,
And your thoughts will be established
This is the foundation for meditation. And this is also the foundation for the subconscious, though that sounds redundant. The subconscious is like positioning, and it also includes our memory. It is positional, in the same kind of way, that if we use a computer, we are sitting, but can do a lot of things. Also, kind of like how our body is still when we sleep, but our blood still moves. This is the same kind of thought that there is, in regards to God resting on the seventh day, but Jesus saying that He has been working since the beginning. And with Jesus as the beginning, and existing before creation, we know that God has always been working, just as our body's insides work, though it is still when it rests.
Proverbs 16:1
1 The preparations of the heart belong to man,
But the answer of the tongue is from the LORD.
We can prepare our way, but it is the LORD's power we are supposed to have as Paul said "to will and to do of his good pleasure." Therefore, as we also can be sensitive to Him, and have Him in everything we do, even down to our breathing- though we decide things, we must have the LORD be the One who empowers us to do them. This is just as the altars they had in the OT. They had an altar of earth, that was made with man's hands. And they had an altar of stone that had not been touched by any kind of tool. The altar of earth symbolized the death and sufferings of Christ. While the altar of stone symbolized the resurrected life of Christ. Here also is the meaning of this verse:
Proverbs 15:14
The heart of him who has understanding seeks knowledge
The Proverbs say to get wisdom, and in all our getting to get understanding. This is as the same essence of that. Knowledge is important. We don't have everlasting life without the knowledge of God. So we also have to test ourselves, to ensure that the knowledge that we do have is really actually God. So that we don't deceive ourselves, also as John wrote in 1 John. Because if we think we are walking in Him, but aren't, we do lie and boast against the truth in all that we do, and in all that we think, thinking that we are right, and in Him, but being wrong. The way that we test ourselves, is to meditate more, and or again.
Proverbs 16:2
2 All the ways of a man are pure in his own eyes,
But the LORD weighs the spirits.
The example of Gideon concerns testing and meditation. The wool symbolizes the conscience, and the dew symbolizes the plenishing from God. And the threshing floor symbolizes judgment (Judgment not always having to be bad, but the appropriation of all that God gives, which is justice). Gideon tested both ways. First seeing if what he thought was good, was actually good. And then seeing if what he thought was not God, was actually not. This meditation goes beyond the subsconscious, into meditating using the conscious mind, and the conscience.
Proverbs 16:15
15 In the light of the king’s face is life,
And his favor is like a cloud of the latter rain.
The favor is as knowledge. As this shows:
Proverbs 3:20
By His knowledge the depths were broken up,
And clouds drop down the dew.
The dew is saturation from God of His knowledge. From the king's favor, comes the APPROPRIATION of the light and life. The word for delight in the Hebrew specifically means that the delight is especially being shown. It is the light of the eyes that rejoices the heart (Proverbs 15:30). Therefore also, knowledge is guided by joy and rejoicing. But how can we know if it is sin in the flesh that is rejoicing, or the incorruptible, sinless, perfect heart?
Proverbs 16:9
A man’s heart plans his way,
But the LORD directs his steps.
The goal must be oneness.
Proverbs 16:10
Divination is on the lips of the king;
His mouth must not transgress in judgment.
Divination is speaking AS the LORD is speaking. Prophecy is speaking after He speaks. Divination is walking with Him AS we are becoming one with Him. Prophesying is after we have already been made one with Him, and this concerning the spoken word; speaking His spoken word is prophesying, and is divination when we speak AS He speaks.
Proverbs 16:20-22
whoever trusts in the LORD, happy is he.
21 The wise in heart will be called prudent,
And sweetness of the lips increases learning.
22 Understanding is a wellspring of life to him who has it.
Understanding is as the conscious mind.
verse 23:
The heart of the wise teaches his mouth,
And adds learning to his lips.
Proverbs 16:16
How much better to get wisdom than gold!
And to get understanding is to be chosen rather than silver.
Proverbs 17:3
The refining pot is for silver and the furnace for gold,
But the LORD tests the hearts.
Testing is not, and shouldn't be: "If this breaks, it wasn't good." Testing is creating. Just as someone who is refining.
Proverbs 18:15
The heart of the prudent acquires knowledge,
And the ear of the wise seeks knowledge.
Proverbs 19:21
There are many plans in a man’s heart,
Nevertheless the LORD’s counsel—that will stand.
Proverbs 20:5
Counsel in the heart of man is like deep water,
But a man of understanding will draw it out.
Proverbs 21:1-2
The king’s heart is in the hand of the LORD,
Like the rivers of water;
He turns it wherever He wishes.
2 Every way of a man is right in his own eyes,
But the LORD weighs the hearts.
Proverbs 19:2
it is not good for a soul to be without knowledge
Our conscience should be guided in the LORD, by the spiritual knowledge we have of Him, which is relationship. And our goal should always be oneness and the consummation of love.
