The Lord is my Shepherd; My Father , the Good Shepherd who gave His life for His sheep, I am Your sheep. Curious and dumb, often are the characteristics of sheep, especially me. Sometimes, Oh Lord, I am unable to find my way home even if the sheepfold is within sight. Within You, I have everything I need. Silver and gold are nice to own, but having You is all I need, You shall provide.
He lets me rest in green meadows; many worries, many burdens, I will rest in the healing color of green.
He leads me beside peaceful streams - there I will focus on Your purity, clear and beautiful Your streams flow love.
He renews my strength - Your Word is full of promises, I draw strength in knowing You are true and faithful.
He guides me along right paths, I may drift a few feet away, and when I cry unto You, there You are to guide me on the right path, bringing honor to His name. You, Oh Lord, bring honor through Your love. A promise here for all to remember. You, Oh Lord, cannot dishonor Your name - Remember me and all who love You.
Even when I walk through the dark valley of death - when the storms of life overwhelm my soul, there You are embracing me in Love, I will not be afraid, for You are close beside me.
Your rod and Your staff, I may get stubborn and wander deep into the wilderness, a lion may attack me, but Your rod beats the enemy down, and Your staff gently nudges me back into the fold, safely, there You protect and comfort me.
You prepare a feast for me in the presence of my enemies, yes, You welcome me as a guest, anointing my head with sweet perfume oil. Perfect host You are to me. Even Your customs are faithful in doing. Do anoint Your sweet oil upon my head, fill me with God's Spirit. You have protected me at all cost.
My cup overflows with blessings, the cup of Salvation overflows with Love. Oh yes, my Father, surely Your goodness and unfailing love will pursue me all the days of my life, on earth as it is in heaven.
My last breath will fill the earth, then I will walk into the Light of Love and You will breathe life into my spirit, and I will live in the house of the Lord forever. Amen
