Two years ago today, you died
Relief from feeling ill and tired.
You left the world all alone,
As God opened His arms and called you home.

Sometimes it's hard and we miss you still,
Feeling the void that nothing can fill.
We feel your presence in who we are,
Feeling the same love that time and space cannot mar.

So this is the day that the Lord has made,
A reminder that His love for us will never fade.
We will rejoice and be glad in it,
Confident that in His plan, we all fit.

Two years ago today, you died.
But in our hearts you're at our side.
Today is a promise to see you soon,
So reserve us a place in the Lord's crown room!
